My life is full of so much love and I am one lucky lady to be cared for by so many amazing people. My two favorite girls, Jane and Lou, challenge me every day to love always, laugh often and cuddle more. I love being outside and sharing unique experiences with my family and friends. Jane + Lou was established in Calgary, Alberta in 2016 with the help and inspiration of my tribe of loved ones including my amazing sister, LeAnn Joy.

Working with exclusively organic fabrics is important to me. All Jane + Lou fabrics are sourced from reputable distributors and are GOTS certified. Organic fabric is made without the use of pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers. These fabrics are sustainable, renewable and biodegradable. I strive to locally purchase all of my shop materials and I am thrilled to find new opportunities to support other local makers of handmade, Canadian goods. 

My inspiration for this company began over 20 years ago when my mom gave me my first sewing basket. It was woven and covered with a bright green floral print. My mom, a child of the 60's, lit a fire in my soul to pursue creativity early on. A passion for unique design and beautiful fabric has grown since and I welcome new challenges to create pieces that are functional, fashionable and of the highest quality for our little ones. 

I am inspired by family and home. These are the people and places that bring my life joy and purpose. Jane + Lou, I love you.
